Inauguration Day

"I want to be held accountable. If I am fortunate enough, if I have the honor to serve as your president, then you're still going to have to watch out. You've still got to make sure that I'm going to do what I said I was going to do. The people hold politicians feet to the fire, because that's how our democracy's supposed to work."

President Barack Obama
8/5/2008, Town Hall Meeting at Baldwin-Wallace College, in Berea, Ohio.

Change we can believe in?

Barack Obama made a lot of promises on his path to the White House. Ending the war(s), health care reform, gay rights, climate change...the list goes on. Were these merely empty campaign promises? How are YOU going to hold him accountable to them? Barack Obama got elected by pushing a message of change, and now it's time to start forcing him to make that change.

So get out there. Make some signs, do some yelling, block some streets, protest at the capitol, form an ad hoc black bloc, whatever. Do something. Start today. Don't stop until you've changed the world.
