Video: "Fighting Foreclosure: 5 Minnesota Women Refuse to Leave" featuring Rosemary Williams

Rosemary Williams and four other Minnesota women have decided to resist the foreclosure and eviction monster that's destroying our communities.

People from the Twin Cities are helping these women defy eviction, the Hennepin County Sheriff, and the big banks that want to steal their homes. Produced by Twin Cities Indymedia and the Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign. Here's the 110-second trailer; the full 12 minute video is posted below the fold...

There will also be a DVD release as well -- which will likely have a bonus video on it :) These versions are not great for TV conversion because TV signals cut off the edge of the picture (a.k.a. not 'title safe') which is a problem for the final screen. We are looking for server space to mirror/share the large original render videos as well :)

Absolutely great video! To the brave women, thanks for sharing

I thought this was so well done.   I hope someone can burn DVD's of this and send to the legislatures.   I have foward to many friends/family and posted on another site.

Fighting Foreclosure

Thank you for providing this video to all! This sad situation is growing exponentially and as the dear women stated in the video, they are not getting any kind of assistance despite repeated efforts on their parts to go 'through the system'. Sad that agencies created to provide assistance in situations like this are turning their backs.

Perhaps if these women and their supporters were to camp out on the front lawns of whoever is issuing the mandates to foreclose (banks, mortgage companies, etc.) these power-hungry, conscience-free, yes-men might get to see the faces of the families they are displacing. Start camping out where other folks can see and become aware of just how serious a problem this is for thousands of people. Perhaps if we create another tent city in DC so the folks in Washington have yet another chance of 'getting with the program' and coming to the realization seeing is believing; the number of tents and 'homeless' individuals viewed in real time is but a fraction of the real number!

God Bless All of you. Stay well in body and spirit...and thank you again for sharing your efforts with so many!

Nowadays, we could see

Nowadays, we could see several number of homeless people, if asked for reason, majority will say, 'Foreclosure'. Government should assist these people. What are the principles to be followed when investing in foreclosure homes in Canada?

I agree with your point

I agree with your point Jaxon. On the other hand, deals related to foreclosure homes in Canada, is increasing.
