By his own admission, Park Jung-geun has long been an Internet wiseguy, a young photographer and blogger with a cyber chip on his shoulder whose favorite target for satire  is the North Korean government.

For months, his Twitter profile picture showed him with a near-empty bottle of whiskey in his hand, standing in front of a red-starred North Korean flag. Using the handle @seouldecadence, the 23-year-old re-tweeted posts from Pyongyang's Twitter account he deemed particularly ridiculous.

South Korea — Kim Jong Il, the North Korean leader who realized his family’s dream of turning his starving country into a minor nuclear-weapons power even as the isolated nation sank further into despotism, died on Saturday of a heart attack, according to the country’s state-run media.

DPRK condemns South Korean "anti-DPRK policy"

PYONGYANG, June 25  -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) accused the South Korean authorities Saturday of maintaining an anti-DPRK policy, the official KCNA news agency reported.

The South Korean authorities' persistence in maintaining an anti-DPRK policy "on the brink of total failure" convinced the South Koreans and the world there was nothing to expect from them, said a spokesman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea.

Several Times Cities area peace and anti-war groups will hold a protest Friday 
afternoon to show opposition to the growing danger of a new U .S. war in Korea.

The protest comes on the heals of the dispatch of the nuclear powered USS 
Washington aircraft carrier to participate in military maneuvers in the Yellow 
Sea off the coast of the Korean peninsula.

ILPS Condemns War Provocations by the US, South Korea Puppets vs DPRK

We, the International League of Peoples’ Struggle, condemn in the strongest possible terms the recent and ongoing provocations being made by the US and the South Korean puppet government against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

We refer to the mobilization of 70,000 troops for a week of military maneuvers just off the border of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea in order to simulate an invasion of the DPRK since November 23.
