There have been at least eight visits by police to the homes of targeted individuals in the Twin Cities this week, where they have attempted to ask these people questions about their involvement with anti-RNC organizing. The government is doing this in an attempt to intimidate and harass, as well as conduct a fishing expedition to gather intelligence. This will not stand!

In response, community members are calling for an urgent meeting to deal with the ongoing problem of police harassment in the Twin Cities. We will be going over the history of government repression here, giving updates as to what is happening now, and discussing what we can do to support people who have been targeted. Legal workers will also be giving a training on what you can do if the cops come to visit you!

The meeting will be this Sunday (9/21) at 3pm at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis. Please come if you can!

JUST in a few weeks, the Republican National Convention (RNC) will be in our backyard Sept 1 through the 4th.

This will be the last meeting of this Coalition. Please plan to attend.

This will be our last chance to go over every groups plans and events, to share information regarding legal and other items of interest.

The meeting will be held: Saturday- August 16, 2008 at 4:30 pm.
