Minneapolis, September 24, 2010. The many faceted local peace community rallied quickly to protest and to act against the FBI search and seizure of 6 homes of peace activists and a local peace office. Computers, cell phones, files and records, passports were among items swept up in the early morning raid. This action came a few days after the FBI's Inspector General criticized the FBI for lying to Justice Department about raids and surveillence of peace groups after 9/11. Washington Post (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/spy-talk/2010/09/fbi_cover-up_turns_laughable_s.html)The 5:30 rally turned out several hundred concerned citizens who heard the first-person stories of the searches. There was a concern that the FBI motivation covered support of Palestinians and Colombian activists. Targets were ordered to report to a Chicago Grand Jury in the future. There will be continued action against the FBI actions including protests to the FBI IG, and local members of Congress. There will be a rally Monday, 9/27 in front of the Minneapolis FBI office. --Bill Sorem - TheUptake.org

Nothing can stop the truth
@Mike
You must be a very young man, or perhaps a naive one. Violence will fix nothing, nor does it need to be in the equation. Mick Kelly seems to be a non-violent, reasonable person who wants peace in the world. What would adding violence to the equation in this matter solve? Absolutely nothing. Don't you remember the neighborhood bully, or the school bully? All it took was a majority to turn against them and ignore them when they began to change. Change only comes about through attitudes and beliefs. A positive attitude that goodness will prevail and belief in those that success will be realized if so much more powerful than acting violenting. violence is a emotional response destined to create further violence.
The people hold the power. It really is that simple. But the people are to impatient and selfish to worry about each other. Most are still out for themselves or to get "even" with those that have trampled on their pride. If Americans would put their personal issues aside we could accomplish so much.
We are successful otherwise the FBI would not feel the need to intimidate Mick Kelly. The message is becoming clearer for those that are lost or confused, and the message is coming from those that are emotional, selfish and greedy....that would be the government you elected to serve you. Stay tuned young man. We can use your brains more than your brawn.
